You are BRAVE
You are BRAVE. You might be saying, "Who me? Uh, no. You've got me all wrong. I mean, I have watched Brene on Netflix and everything, and I KNOW I'm supposed to be all 'leaning into vulnerability' and stuff, but me? I AM SO SCARED to ______ (send my kid to kindergarten, send my kid to college, write that book I know I'm supposed to, go to therapy for the first time, leave someplace, go someplace, trust my gut, speak my truth, be myselfโฆ..)"
You know what I mean, right? Anyone else feel scared?
I'm gonna throw some encouragement up here today, because I am guessing we ALL have some thing on the horizon making fear loom large (no matter your Enneagram type!)
Did you know that the ONLY time you can be brave is WHEN you are afraid?
That actually, the prerequisite for bravery IS fear?
If you're not #doingitscared, then you're not acting with bravery.
Bravery is a product of you taking steps that feel uncertain.
Bravery is evidence of you recognizing that you were #madeformore.
Bravery is what grows from the broken soil of fear and doubt and faith and tears and trust.
It simply doesn't grow any other way.
See, YOU ARE BRAVE!
It's kind of interesting to think about, really.
What if that scary thing you're thinking of is the actual fuel for all you were created to say, do, and BE?
What if without the fear pressing on your chest
you might decide to stay small, stay hidden and stay stuck?
What if that fear is your rickety rope bridge up to the gates
of all that God had in mind for you when he lovingly fashioned your unique,
amazing and brave soul?
I'm cheering for all of us today.
YOU are brave. HE is good.
How will you let your fears be the birthplace for bravery and courage today?
